The 2002 Mustang saw many changes, among with are the changing of the sub dummy names to Standard, Deluxe, and Bonus. 2002 is also when most of the Ford Mustang’s major competition disappeared. The Chevrolet Camaro and the Pontiac Firebird both stopped being made after 2002. This left-hand the Mustang as the only “pony car” on the supermarket.
Approximately 200,000 people become owners of Mustangs every year. One of the biggest innovations made by Mustang in 2002 was the Cobra, even though technically it was a 2003 standard that just happened to appear belated in 2002.
